Helen Waddington, one of the volunteers at El %u00c1tico in Playa Blanca, writes: %u201cAs we approach the festive season I would like to celebrate the kind people of Lanzarote.On 8th November 2025 a 60's 70's Disco Party Night was held at Hankey Pankys in Puerto Del Carmen, to raise funds for El Atico and raise awareness of the very good work that the charity does.It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening where people were dancing, singing, laughing and smiling all night. It was wonderful to see a great mix of people coming together. 120 people attended and %u20ac3,500 was raised for families in need on Lanzarote. I want to thank everyone who participated in our event to make it such a success. We could not have done it without Steve Wells,Johnny Towers and Mikey J. from Monster Radio.Thanks also to the El %u00c1tico Together We Can Team, Janice, Pauline and Agnes; Paddy from Hankey Pankys, Kenny from Bluebells and everyone who donated prizes.
