Staff at two of Lanzarote’s most iconic visitor attractions have begun wearing new uniforms inspired by the original designs of renowned artist and architect César Manrique.
On Monday, Lanzarote’s Councillor for Art, Culture and Tourism, Ángel Vázquez, visited Mirador del Río and Jameos del Agua to mark the official launch of the updated uniforms alongside staff.
At Mirador del Río, food service employees are now dressed in blue-striped uniforms, while the maître d’ wears a distinctive lilac version. At Jameos del Agua, dining room staff have returned to the attraction’s iconic orange uniforms, with the maître d’ also dressed in lilac.
The uniform update extends beyond restaurant staff, with security personnel, attendants and cleaning teams also receiving redesigned workwear.
The rollout will continue over the coming weeks, with employees at the Casa Museo del Campesino and the Cactus Garden next in line to receive their new uniforms.
