After reporting the discovery, Guardia Civil agents arrived and activated the GEDEX (Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit). HIGH HOPES FOR GRAPE HARVESTFirefighters rescued eight Ruddy Shelduck ducklings from an aljibe (water tank) in La Degollada, Yaiza, last month.Local Police had notified them that the ducklings were in the aljibe, and were unable to get out, with some of the ducklings already having died. On April 12th, the man and his partner took the infant, which is reported as suffering from heart failure to Tinajo Health Centre, but upon finding it closed they then went to the Local Police station, where agents administered first aid. Afterwards, the baby was rushed to hospital in Arrecife, and then transferred to the Maternity Hospital in Las Palmas, where it died days afterwards.Police began to suspect the father after he changed his story, first claiming that the baby had choked, then saying the infant had been in a car accident with him. A post-mortem established that the child died of head injuries, and prosecutors are not ruling out that the case may be an example of violence by proxy, in which an abusive partner targets a victim%u2019s loved ones.BABY DEATH RESULTS IN HOMICIDE CHARGESLUCKY DUCKIES Your award-winning, family-run business. The advisers are Logic Financial Consultants are fully regulated and licensed by OpesFidelio who are a trademarked network of Aisa International, s.r.o., regulated by the Czech National Bank to act as an independent securities trader (MIFID) and as an intermediary for Insurance within the EEA.
